Enchanted Forest For iPad Review: A Magical Breakout

September 16, 2010

Arcade games are never out of style and preference but I haven’t seen a lot of  good and handy arcade apps on the app store. Yesterday, I stumbled upon Enchanted Forest which is a normal ball-bouncing game, the main objective in Enchanted Forest is to release a captured fairy and acquire as many points as humanly possible along the way as you can.

Developed by Magic Games, Enchanted Forest is a more than a basic ball-bouncing arcade-style app. There are two dist inct control methods that you can use in Enchanted Forest to move the platform/base, either tap-to-move or accelerometer (default). You need to be very quick to curb the ball from falling onto the ground. The game has 100 levels and three difficulty levels to match your style of play and to keep you engaged.

Once you get your way through those bricks, rewards and power-ups are dislodged and will  fall to seek your attention. To grab them, you just need to move the platform in the same direction the ball is about to hit the bottom. If you do happen to miss the ball, then you lose a life. You will only get three chances before your game gets over. Points are enumerated at the end of each round and coins gained during the play can help you purchase cool power ups to make your game more powerful.

Enchanted Forest concept resembles a lot of games but  the power-ups and other hidden achievements make this app interesting and worth a try. You can download enchanted forest from the app store for just 1.99$ and it is only compatible with iPad, not for iPhone or iPod Touch.
