Looks like Samsung is getting pretty serious in terms of capturing the market as a whole. The world’s second largest mobile producer is on the verge of revealing a media player which would compete with Apple’s iPod Touch. The device is said to be named Galaxy Player and would be unveiled at CES 2011. The music player will pose a lot of similarities as the company’s popularGalaxy S smartphone except the calling feature just like the relation between iPod Touch and iPhone 4.
The device is set to run Google’s Android OS 2.2 Froyo and surely include a front facing VGA camera, a rear 3.2 megapixel camera. The music device is said to boost the variety of products samsung is offering to help his intentions of capturing a major share in the market. The line of devices recently launched by Samsung has been similar to that of Apple like Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Player these range of devices sound very similar to that of Apple.
Sony and Microsoft both have tried to take something out of the market but haven’t succeeded due to Apple’s iPod ruling of a large share of market. Smasung has earned quite a name in the tablet market with it’s Galaxy tab but only time and the launch of iPad 2 will tell whether it is long run success or short run. The not so much-awaited music player is to be unveiled at this year CES, the music player will be available in 8, 16 and 32GB Versions.
