Apple’s iPad 2 Production to begin in February, iPhone 5 in May

January 30, 2011

The manufacturing partners of Apple will start digging the confined production of the second-generation Pad 2 this February followed by the fifth-generation iPhone which will begin in May, according to a new report. China’s Commercial Times have reported that the commencement of iPad 2 production will take place in the second week of February in small amounts but that figure could rise significantly well in the second quarter of calendar 2011 and could very well outstrip the the progress that the first-generation iPad saw in the fourth quarter of 2010.

If this happens then the iPad 2 will be on track to defend it’s plentiful rumors of an April launch. Monday’s report also claimed that Foxconn will continue to be the biggest manufacturing partner of the cupertino company while other small suppliers would also take part in this production marathon.

The following report also suggests that Apple’s manufacturing partners are expected to commence volume production of the fifth-generation iPhone in May which obviously indicates that the iPhone 5 is set to launch at the end of June, as always.
