For me, going to the movies used to be quite the online ordeal. I’d look up the few theaters nearby, search through their listings, read the synopsis and reviews, and because I’m a preview fanatic, I’d typically search YouTube for the trailer before deciding whether or not to go check out the film.
Now that I have Kinema on my Touch, the whole process is much faster. Developed by AppSequence, Kinema is a creative app that keeps a track of the upcoming releases, movies that are currently running in theatres and next week openings. This app is extremely easy to use. Once you select a particular movie, you’ll see the rating, length, fan rating, and a short synopsis. If you’re like me, you’ll tap the play button to watch the full trailer. And if you want even more info on the film, just tap “movie details”, where you can read a full synopsis, see the cast and director, and browse through fan reviews and ratings.
The app also gives you the search option, which makes things quicker than ever. It is similar to any movie search website or application in that it displays a poster of available movies and ratings and reviews, but the application goes much farther than that, and does so with a bit more polish than other available apps.
Kinema is a very useful app especially if you are into tracking new releases every week and don’t get to check out about the upcoming releases quite often. For 1.99$, it is a bit pricy but it surely gives you everything at your fingertips. The bottom line is, if you’ve got an iPhone and you go to the movies, why would you not download this app?
