Now you can send real little treats to help mark a special moment with increased sentiment. The app is called ParcelGenie, and allows you to ping a pal a prezzie, instantly. It’s like an enhanced form of text messaging, enabling you to attach a real little gift!
Whether it’s a buddy’s birthday, whether someone’s a little under the weather, or whether you want to say thank you, or just be awesome, enter ParcelGenie! The service is easy to use, very clever, and is no hassle and inexpensive. Now, let me tell you how it works: after opening the app, you are asked to select your country. You are then presented with a whole host of gift goodies. Simply select a friend from your phonebook, select a gift, add a message if you like, and ‘ping’ – it’s gone. You can even pay on your phone bill so very fast and convenient.
The gifts are categorised into groupings like ‘fun’ and ‘romantic’ and cater for every possible mood or occasion. Everything from Jelly beans to novelty Love Struck Glasses. The recipient will be alerted by text message to register their name and address and that’s it. The little prezzie will then arrive at your friend’s doorstep next day. I tried it and it really works!
The idea behind ParcelGenie is fantastic, sending a real little gift will never be much easier and quicker than this. ParcelGenie is available to download for free and you’ll be charged for the gifts sent; postage and packaging is free. The prices are very economic indeed and the gifts good quality, and I guess that’s the idea – enabling people to send a little something without having to think about the trivial costs involved.
Note: The app is available on iPhone, Windows Phone, and Android, with other smartphones in the wings. ParcelGenie is available exclusively in the UK but is expanding into other countries shortly, it seems.
