It’s me! Peter Pan App Review for iPad

May 21, 2012

I received a copy of this It’s Me! Peter Pan App to review on the iPad. The first thing I noticed when I opened the app was that you could personalize it for your child with their photo and their name. That is a great little feature especially the ability to put in the photo, making your child a part of the story. You can choose from an existing photo or take one through the app.

Perhaps the best way to think of It’s Me! Peter Pan is as a digital activity book. Kids can enjoy the coloring section and then email or save their work, put together puzzles that recreate scenes from the story, play musical instruments, and play memory matching games. The app is also set up to allow users to read the story themselves or have it read to them with professional narration and classic sound effects from the movie.

The storybook is beautiful with original illustrations. These are very much like paintings and have such a great classic feel to them. This wonderful storybook app continues the fun theme with the addition of child friendly puzzles and the ability to explore Neverland by touching and tapping on various objects and characters scattered around the story. There are also options along the way to stop and color a picture, which makes it all the more learning experience for your kid.

And hey, we know this isn’t just for kids so if you want to download it for yourself to relive your childhood we’re not going to judge you. Peter Pan is awesome, and you have every right to revisit the story. Just please don’t send us your coloring book pages because that would be weird. It’s me! Peter Pan is available for free on the iOS app store.
