Leapin’ Leprechaun Game Review for iPhone and iPod Touch

May 8, 2012

Ireland. This bonnie land brought us Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell and 007 himself, Pierce Brosnan. And don’t even get me started on Lucky Charms, cockney and Guinness. Suffice to say, other than U2, I’m devilishly fond of all things Irish. Now we have Leapin’ Leprechaun, an addictive game where you play the role of Paddy and your goal is to touch and flick Paddy the Leprechaun into one of the pot of gold.

If you’re ready to be beguiled by the land of green, tuck in to my iPhone app review of Leapin’ Leprechaun.

This game very much resembles Paper Toss, but instead of a paper ball and a trashcan, you have a Leprechaun and a pot of gold. Levels are spread across Ireland and you’ll have to beat each one before travelling to the next. You’ll have to flick Paddy into a pot of Gold before the next pot reveals itself. After you’ve reached all pots, you’ll win the level as simple. The pots are placed at different directions to make it a bit harder. That, along with wind and rain conditions in advanced levels, will require a bit of focus to win each level. To win the game, you’ll have to properly gauge the force and direction of your flicks. More and more practice will surely give you the confidence to clear the levels easily.

Graphically, the Leapin’ Leprechaun iPhone app is absolutely charming. Paddy’s animations are fun, fluid and pleasantly rendered. The whole app sparkles with bright graphics, beautiful scenery and delightful movement.

To trap the darling leprechaun named Paddy on your iPhone download the Leapin’ Leprechaun iPhone app for $.99. There is a lite version of this app that is free, however it lacks the spectacular features included in the full version. If you’re looking for a laugh, have a love for Ireland or are hankering after a quality flicking app, give Leapin’ Leprechaun a shot.
