May 7, 2012

MonTowers is a new platformer from Buff Stone. It’s a very simple yet fun platformer that is highly accessible; aimed at younger audiences and classic collectors fans alike. Transport yourself into this beautifully rendered game in which your objective is to collect what it takes to summon monsters, pit them against one another, and dominate the legendary Montowers. This monster-themed combat game is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, for more endless fun on the go.

Players are tasked to take over a certain tower, with incredible five hundred levels to get through – you’ll hardly have time to be bored with this game. As you storm the area, you can capture and summon different monsters at will. The monsters available have a variety of powers and abilities, so you can use them strategically.

In an innovative twist, different costumes are attainable for the monsters. In this sense, the upgrade is represented by the costume change as your fighting companion evolves. There are 660 costumes within MonTowers: Legend of Summoners, so try and achieve all of them.

An important point to stress about this particular game is that you would have to be of legal age to download it. Mature themes and several violent scenes make MonTowers somewhat inappropriate for children below the age of seventeen. Make sure you do not give access to this game to youngsters.

This factor narrows down the market for MonTowers considerably, but for those who are allowed access to the game will surely appreciate the brand of Japanese grit it features. Graphics are colorful and vivid, with adorable creatures and fiery backgrounds. It is wonderfully designed; a mix of cartoonish and realistic flourishes.

MonTowers: Legend of Summoners is available at the App Store for free, which is a treat for collectors, and will surely delight fans of fantasy and adventure. Definitely check it out if you don’t mind the simplicity, or if you just love classic style platforms.
