WorldCard HD App Review for iPad

June 28, 2012

I don’t know what I would have done without my WorldCard mobile app by Penpower Technology, one of the best business apps there is for scanning business cards to your iphone. But these days I do all my office work on my new iPad as it is so much easier and bigger than the iphone of course. So, I started facing the same problem of keeping physical count of business cards which was getting on my nerves until I found WorldCard HD by the creators of WorldCard Mobile which works on the same mechanism as Worldcard mobile but exclusively made for iPad.

WorldCard HD features a unique Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology which with its advanced element along with the powerful camera of the iPad imports information accurately from a paper business card to your iPad with just a touch of a finger. Unlike, some of the card reader apps available in the app store Worldcard HD scans all the information off the business card to the app and categorize and labels it accordingly. And, this is just one of the many features that WorldCard HD offers. Some of the other features include scanning more than one card at a time and saving them as individual records, sharing them or saving to your PC with iTunes file sharing option so you always have a backup. Every single data gathered by WorldCard HD from a business card lets you perform multiple tasks within the app such as an email Id record will let you send an email or connect you to FaceTime, an office address will connect the app to Google maps.

Overall, with its impressive OCR technology for quick scanning and recognition of the business cards, WorldCard HD is one of the best business apps available on the app store for iPad. That being said it is on the expensive side priced at 14.99$, but if you compare it with the amount of time and cost it saves you it will surely cover the cost in no time.
