Last week Com2us the developers of the popular game title slice it finished their beta testing for their upcoming RPG title Queen’s Crown and we were fortunate enough to test and play the heroic journey of a princess who escapes her castle. An adventure-platformer which incorporates variety of adventurous and thrilling quests while on the journey to save the kingdom from black magicians. The only way the kingdom can be saved is if the princess the main character of the game gathers all the fairies who used to guard the Queen’s Crown.
The Princess sets off the journey with four unique weapons and a brave heart. Story moments are delivered with subtitles and story line is fairly easy to understand though princess has no dialogues. As you progress in the game you meet new characters some will seek your help and some will help you in gathering the fairies in both situation you have to accomplish variety of task to proceed further and unlock new areas, magic potions, weapons and various other things. The loading screen fills you with game hints or tips where you can see while waiting for the game to load. You will face quite a different variety of enemies such as mushrooms or trees emitting poisonous gas or gremlins during your journey each having a level while you will easily be able to kill ones equal or below you game level others will give you a hard time. One thing to remember with your foes is that they don’t vanish completely they re-spawn within few seconds of killing them so if you kill a foe don’t get too excited but every time you defeat an enemy they will leave you something good like gold, health potion etc. So, the more they re-spawn the more fun stuff you get to collect. With the accumulated gold you can purchase health potion, magic potions, weapons and other cool stuff from the shops. The most difficult enemies are the bosses who come after a significant game progress to defeat them you will have to use a combination of your powers and magic potions.
This game is downrightly gorgeous with great storyline and adventurous quests. The environments are intricately detailed and there is a lot of verticality so you can often see new areas or some you’ve already visited in the distance. The controls of the game are fairly easy to pick up and the d-pad provided to navigate the character is pretty smooth. The left wheel is used to navigate the princess and the right one is used to attack the enemies. The statistics of your character can be accessed through the stats button at the bottom center of the screen and here you can also see all the collectibles and gems you have acquired during your journey.
The graphics of Queen’s Crown is very retro which will remind of you old style kingdoms, you will also come across knights in the game which will give the overall historical feel. The music of the game is apt and resonates well with the overall retro theme of the game. The game has three saving slot one auto and two manual so you won’t have plenty of saving space for you and your friends. As far as online leader boards are concerned the game provides no such option which is quite disappointing however it allows you to share your game progress on Facebook.
Overall, with a great look, clever quests, and loads of fun stuff to collect, this is a Fantastic RPG Title of which you will surely approve. This is defiantly the type of game that you want to just play over and over. Queen’s Crown is due to be released sometime soon for iPhone and iPod touch, and when the game comes out you can check our website for pricing and other details.
